Armenian Chemical Industry’s Output Grows 9.8% In Jan-June 2010

Armenian chemical industry’s output has grown 9.8% over the first six months of this year, compared with the same period a year before, and amounted to AMD 4893.9 million by late June, National Statistical Service reports.
YEREVAN, August 2. /ARKA/. Armenian chemical industry’s output has grown 9.8% over the first six months of this year, compared with the same period a year before, and amounted to AMD 4893.9 million by late June, National Statistical Service reports.

Chemical products worth AMD 6518.8 million have been sold in the country over the mentioned period of this year.

According to the statistical report, the output of plastic goods grew 21.9% to AMD 4496.6 tons.

Some 4984.5 tons of varnishes and colors were produced in Armenia inn Jan-June 2010 – 15.7% more than at the same period a year earlier.

The output of detergents grew 22% to 1216.6 tons.

Some 2963 kilograms of synthetic corundum and 960 tons of caustic soda were produced in the country in Jan-June 2010.

The synthetic rubber output doubled to 1083 tons. ($1 = AMD 370.16). –0--
