About $1 billion is needed to implement the investment program of transport development in Yerevan, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said on Friday.

YEREVAN, September 24. /ARKA/. About $1 billion is needed to implement the investment program of transport development in Yerevan, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said on Friday.

He said that the city authorities should find certain amount, including the financial resources to be attracted from individual investors.

The premier said that a special attention is paid to construction of up-to-date roads around the city.
About $300 million will be allocated for this construction throughout seven years.

At its Friday’s meeting, the Armenian government approved reports on the program of transport development being implemented in Yerevan under Asian Development Bank’s support.-0-
