Grand Thornton Amyot plans to become leader in the market of Tajikistan

Auditing-consulting company Grant Thornton Amyot (GTA) is intended to become a leader in the market of Tajikistan by opening its affiliate in Dushanbe, said Director-shareholder of Grant Thornton Tajikistan Gagik Gyulbudaghyan.
YEREVAN, November 5. /ARKA/. Auditing-consulting company Grant Thornton Amyot (GTA) is intended to become a leader in the market of Tajikistan by opening its affiliate in Dushanbe, said Director-shareholder of Grant Thornton Tajikistan Gagik Gyulbudaghyan . From 1st of October 2010, a new Grant Thornton member firm started its operations in the Republic of Tajikistan.

“We have always participated in international tenders and have that helped us to develop a client base in Tajikistan in recent years. As a result we decided to establish a subsidiary in this territory and attract even a larger market share. Currently our main objective is to develop the newly established company and acquire leadership on the market, through increase of our technical and human resource capacity in Tajikistan. A significant part of this process would involve attraction and further development of local personnel and partners”, said partner, Gurgen Hakobyan.

Grant Thornton Amyot serves about 300 clients and its coverage includes Armenia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Russia and European countries – France and Denmark.

GTA started its work in 1997 in Armenia. In 2009 income of the company was 1.3 billion drams and it is planned that will become 1.4 billion in 2010. Grant Thornton Amyot has more than 140 staff working in Armenia, Georgia and Tajikistan offices.

Gurgen Hakobyan, Partner of Grant Thornton Amyot, has been appointed as the Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Tajikistan.
