YEREVAN, June 9. /ARKA/. An American company plans to implement software in the field of medical tourism in Armenia, said Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan.

"The Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Health have signed a memorandum with this company, and joint work is currently underway. In the near future, we will ask the parliament to make certain legislative changes so that it becomes possible to identify data with this company, as far as this is permissible," Papoyan said in parliament on Monday during the discussion of the report on the implementation of the Armenian state budget for 2024.

The head of the Ministry of Economy also said that the private sector is actively involved in this process.

In November last year, Chairperson of the RA Tourism Committee Lusine Gevorgyan announced plans to introduce and develop medical and health tourism in Armenia in the near future. She announced plans to expand cooperation, in particular, with France and Germany. -0-
