Armenia will be offered 100 scholarships to participate in courses at the UN World Tourism Organization's (UN Tourism) Online Academy, announced Sheikha Nasser Al-Nuwais, Secretary-General of the organization.
YEREVAN, September 21. /ARKA/. Armenia will be offered 100 scholarships to participate in courses at the UN World Tourism Organization's (UN Tourism) Online Academy, announced Sheikha Nasser Al-Nuwais, Secretary-General of the organization.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy, the scholarships will be provided to enhance the knowledge and develop the professional competencies of tourism industry specialists.
At a meeting with Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, the parties discussed prospects for tourism development in Armenia, promoting the country's tourism potential in international markets, as well as improving industry strategy and data analysis.
Particular attention was paid to the development of medical tourism. The parties emphasized the importance of collaboration between healthcare and tourism to position Armenia in the international market as an attractive medical tourism destination and effectively harness the industry's potential. The development of sustainable tourism, a broader presentation of Armenia's tourism potential on international platforms, and the possibility of providing technical support from the UN World Tourism Organization were also discussed.
