Inflation in Armenia will be no higher than the projected 4±1.5% in 2011, Arthur Javadyan, chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, said in an interview with ARKA News Agency.
YEREVAN, November 18. /ARKA/. Inflation in Armenia will be no higher than the projected 4±1.5% in 2011, Arthur Javadyan, chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, said in an interview with ARKA News Agency.

Inflation is expected to subside gradually throughout the 12 months following September, and supply pressures are believed to abate curbing inflation and keeping it within the projected frames.

“Hereby, inflation will reach 8.1% later this year, but subside to 3.7% by the end of the third quarter of the next year as interest rates will remain stable,” Javadyan said in his interview.

He said that taking into account such outlooks, the central bank found it reasonable to pursue a conservative monetary policy, but didn’t rule out some corrections, if necessary.-0---
