Consumer Prices In Nagorno-Karabakh Rose 1.8% In 2011 January

Consumer prices in Nagorno-Karabakh (NKR) rose 1.8% in 2011 January as opposed to 2010 December, ARKA correspondent in Stepanakert reported citing the latest figures released by its Statistical Service.
STEPANAKERT, February 10, /ARKA/. Consumer prices in Nagorno-Karabakh (NKR) rose 1.8% in 2011 January as opposed to 2010 December, ARKA correspondent in Stepanakert reported citing the latest figures released by its Statistical Service.

Food prices, including alcoholic drinks and tobacco products, went up 2.9%, prices of non-foods grew by 1.4% while prices of services went unchanged. More specifically, prices of fruits soared by 42% if compared to 2010 January and by 11.9% if compared to 2010 December. The highest growth rate was reported in Askeran.

Vegetables and potato prices jumped by 23.3% as opposed to 2010 January and by 14.8% from 2010 December. The highest growth rate was in the capital Stepanakert. Consumer price index in 2011 January rose by 10.8% from 2010 January. Food, alcoholic drinks and tobacco products prices rose by 17.1%, prices of non-foods by 4.5%, and e prices of services. Consumer price index grew by 38.5% from 2005. –0--
