Tashir Group pledges investments in Yerevan’s infrastructure

Tashir Group of a Russia-based Armenian billionaire Samvel Karapetian has pledged fresh investments in development of Yerevan’s infrastructure as he signed a long-term cooperation agreement with Yerevan mayor Karen Karapetian.
YEREVAN, March 2, /ARKA/. Tashir Group of a Russia-based Armenian billionaire Samvel Karapetian has pledged fresh investments in development of Yerevan’s infrastructure as he signed a long-term cooperation agreement with Yerevan mayor Karen Karapetian.
Karen Karapetian said the municipality is determined to improve the city’s business environment and attract fresh investments. He also said that private companies are placed to run some segments of the city’s infrastructure more effectively. This, he said, will allow the municipality to channel the bulk of its budget to resolution of social problems. Samvel Karapetian said the projects his company will carry out here will create absolutely new recreation conditions for the residents of the city.
Under the agreement Tashir Group will build a hotel in downtown Yerevan, accomplish the construction of Dalma Garden complex, build new trade centers at North Avenue in central Yerevan, modernize the Yerevan Circus. Overall, these projects are supposed to create some 600 new jobs.
Tashir Group was founded in 1999. Today it comprises some 200 companies engaged in different sectors employing 30,000 people. -0-
