Armenian-Chinese trade doubles over last three years

Armenian-Chinese trade has doubled over the last three years to $436 million, according to a deputy Armenian economy minister Ara Pertrosian.
YEREVAN, April 7. / ARKA /. Armenian-Chinese trade has doubled over the last three years to $436 million, according to a deputy Armenian economy minister Ara Pertrosian.
Ara Petrosian is the Armenian cochairman of the Armenian-Chinese intergovernmental commission that has convened today its sixth meeting in Yerevan.
Speaking at the meeting Ara Petrosian said the trade in 2010 grew by 44.4% from 2009 with Armenian exports to China jumping by 73.6% to $321 million and imports from China rising by 42.6% to $405.8 million.
‘Armenian-Chinese economic relations are stable and on high level.
Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan’s and prime minister Tigran Sarkisian’s recent visits to China have given these relations a special dynamic,’ Ara Petrosian said. ($1- 371.12 Drams). -0-
