Iraq is interested in the possible deliveries of electricity from Armenia, said Vice-Prime Minister of Iraq Saleh Al Mutlakhi at the meeting with Armenian Ambassador Murad Muradian.

YEREVAN, April 12. / ARKA /. Iraq is interested in the possible deliveries of electricity from Armenia, said Vice-Prime Minister of Iraq Saleh Al Mutlakhi at the meeting with Armenian Ambassador Murad Muradian.

The sides discussed possible areas of economic cooperation, including ways of supplying electricity from Armenia to Iraq, expressing hope that this problem will be resolved.

Ambassador Muradian informed the vice-prime minister of Iraq that the Armenian side will present a discussion of two agreements to the Iraqi side - on economic cooperation and investment protection in the nearest future.

Topic of conversation became the possible participation of Armenia in the process of rehabilitation of Iraq, particularly in the area of the apartment building.

At the end of the meeting Armenian ambassador gave al Mutlakhi invitation on behalf of the Vice-Prime Minister of Armenia, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan for visiting Yerevan.

Accepting the invitation, Mutlakhi noted that he will visit Armenia in the nearest future, accompanied by high officials and Iraqi businessmen. -0-
