The Armenian parliament has passed today in the second and final reading a set of amendments to the Law on Notary which soften requirements for running notary activity.

YEREVAN, May 25. / ARKA /. /. The Armenian parliament has passed today in the second and final reading a set of amendments to the Law on Notary which soften requirements for running notary activity.

Justice minister Hrayr Tovmasian said the changes call for cutting the duration of mandatory training period for notaries from 12 months to 6 months. Another amendments says that only an Armenian citizen with at least five year record of working as a lawyer can be appointed as a notary. -0-

Armenia will receive €70.4 million from IBRD to improve irrigation services and water supply

During a meeting on Thursday, the Armenian government approved a bill to ratify a loan agreement with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD, a World Bank division) for €70.4 million aimed at enhancing irrigation services and water supply in Armenia under the "Phase 1" project.
