All preparation works of construction of new nuclear block, including project feasibility study are finished in Armenia, said Armenian Energy Minister Armen Movsisyan in the press-conference on Wednesday.
YEREVAN, July 13. /ARKA/. All preparation works of construction of new nuclear block, including project feasibility study are finished in Armenia, said Armenian Energy Minister Armen Movsisyan in the press-conference on Wednesday.
“It was planned to organize large-scale international conference in April where the interested parties should have been participated. But due to the events in Japan, the conference was delayed till autumn”, said the minister.
Armenia plans to build a new block of nuclear power plant with the capacity of about 1060 megawatt. This project is assessed $5-6 billion. Earlier, Director of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko said that Russia can finance over 20% of the construction.
Russian-Armenian joint company has been already established which should provide not less than 40% of the cost of the new nuclear power plant and 60% is planned to attract from the investors. -0-
