Antimonopoly Commission of Armenia fined 150 million drams within 9 months

State Commission on Protection of Economic Competitiveness (SCPEC) fined in the amount of 150 million drams within 9 months for different violations, said Chairman of the Commission Artak Shaboyan.
YEREVAN, November 8. /ARKA/. State Commission on Protection of Economic Competitiveness (SCPEC) fined in the amount of 150 million drams within 9 months for different violations, said Chairman of the Commission Artak Shaboyan.
“In contrast to the past years, in 2011 the Commission managed to collect significant volume of penalties which enabled to provide the staff salaries”, said Shaboyan in the budget hearings in the parliament. The size of the penalties due to payment is 240 million drams for the given period.
He compared it to the previous years, according to which in 2010 the size of fines was 37 million drams, of which 27 million drams was paid, while in 2009 these amounts were 10 million drams and 3.5 million drams respectively.
Shaboyan said that in accordance with the draft state budget for 2012, expenses for the needs of the organization will remain unchanged compared to 2011 which is 210 million drams.
Earlier, Shaboyan informed that within nine months of 2011 SCPEC carried out 87 decisions on the measures of responsibility for economic entities vs. about 30 in the last year. One of these decisions is the decision regarding Lusakert poultry, a number of transportation companies, as well as recent penalty in the coffee market. ($1 – 380.47 drams). –0-
