Armenian government proposes to increase next year budget by 1.6 billion AMD
YEREVAN, December 1. /ARKA/. The Armenian government proposed to increase by 1.6 billion drams the revenue and spending patterns of its next year’s budget, finance minister Vache Gabrielian said today.
Speaking at a recurrent Cabinet session he said the finalized option of the budget calls for 911.6 billion drams in revenue and 1.044.1 billion drams in spending. The deficit is projected at 132.5 billion drams.
Gabrielian said the government had received nearly 500 proposals from parliament standing committees, factions and lawmakers regarding the blueprint budget.
In particular, the minister said, the rise will be distributed between socio-cultural and scientific, economic and military sectors’ budgets and part will go to the foreign ministry. He said that following the discussions of the proposals, the government fully or partly accepted 135 of them.
"Proposals calling for drastic increase of revenue pattern were declined mainly because of being groundless,’ he said.
The minister was instructed to finalize the draft budget and send it to parliament for vote.-0-
