South Caucasus Railways’ foremen and team leaders to be retrained at Gyumri Technical College

A group of 20 foremen and team leaders of South Caucasus Railways CJSC’s track facilities will be retrained at the Gyumri State Technical College, the company’s press office reported on Monday.
YEREVAN, December 12. /ARKA/. A group of 20 foremen and team leaders of South Caucasus Railways CJSC’s track facilities will be retrained at the Gyumri State Technical College, the company’s press office reported on Monday.
After this retraining, the workers will be certified by a special commission of the company.
Some 103 railway workers have been trained since May 2011 under the agreement signed between the railway company and the college. In 2009, 91 employees of the South Caucasus Railway were retrained.
The company pays special attention to training of specialists. The company’s employees are trained in leading Armenian and specialized Russian universities.
Now 17 employees attend Russia’s Rostov State University of Communications and 41 Armenian State Engineering University.
South Caucasus Railways, a 100-percent subsidiary of Russian Railways, runs Armenian Railway.
Armenian Railways was handed over to the South Caucasus Railways on February 13, 2008 for 30-year concession management with a right to prolong the management term for other 10 years. -0-
