Armenian government has made some changes to its prior decisions aimed at specifying its policy with regard to precious metals.

YEREVAN, December 15. /ARKA/. Armenian government has made some changes to its prior decisions aimed at specifying its policy with regard to precious metals.

Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan, speaking Thursday at a regular meeting of the government, said that Pricing Information and Analysis Center is no longer entitled to set prices for goods, services and work for state needs – these powers are given to the finance ministry.

He said that implementation of the policy on precious stones, licensing, organization of qualification exams and control over entities involved in sale/purchase process would be assigned to the economy ministry.

Both ministries will also fulfill duties of already dissolved inspection for control over expert examination of metals.
