The volume of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was 2,711,420.7mln Drams (in current prices) in the period under review, Armenia’s National Statistical Service reported. GDP produced in November was 17% lower as compared to the previous month.
YEREVAN, December 28. /ARKA/. A 13.6% economic growth was recorded in Armenia in January-November 2007 as compared with the same period of 2006.
The volume of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was 2,711,420.7mln Drams (in current prices) in the period under review, Armenia’s National Statistical Service reported. GDP produced in November was 17% lower as compared to the previous month.
GDP deflator index was 104.4% by the end of November.
According to the statistical data, 11.2% growth of VAT provided a 10.3 pct increase in the actual volume of GDP (12.2pct in January-November 2006). The 39.2% growth of taxes, the subsidies exclusive, provided 3.3pct of the actual growth of GDP (1pct in January-November 2006).
In the period, 17.3% construction growth increased the GDP by 4.1pct (against 7pct in January-November 2006). Industry (including energy sector) provided 0.6pct of economic growth (growth in industry 3.4%).
9.6% increase in agriculture, forestry, hunting and fishing provided 1.8pct of the economic growth.
The 12.3% increase recorded in the services field provided 3.9pct increase in the GDP (5.2pct in January-November 2006). The sphere of trade and public catering contributed 2cpt to the DGP growth, with increase in the sphere making 11.9% in January-November 2007.
The share of VAT was 89.7% in the GDP structure against 91.5% in January-November 2006.
The share of industrial production was 16.3% against 18.7% in January-November 2006. The share of agriculture reduced by 0.2pct down to 18.7% and the share of construction increased 0.7pct up to 24.3%. Trade, public catering, transport and communication provided 16.2%, the services sector - 31.5%.
The tax, the subsidies exclusive, constituted 10.3% of the GDP.
GDP per capita was 840,516Drams or $2,433 (1,788EUR) by the end of November 2007.
