YEREVAN, February 12. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Minister of Transport and Communication Andranik Manukian does not rule out the possibility of privatizing “Haypost” closed joint stock company.
“I think such development is possible if Armenia’s Government is satisfied with the volume of investments, if the operator fulfills all the obligations it undertook under the trust management agreement and if the country’s authorities considers it expedient to privatize “Haypost” CJSC,” the Minister told journalists. But so far no discussions have been held on this, he said.
“Haypost” closed joint stock company is the national post operator of the Republic of Armenia having 900 post divisions in the country. The company’s staff is 4,000 people. Under the agreement signed on November 30 “Haypost” was transferred to Dutch “Haypost Trust Management” company for trust management.–0—
