YEREVAN, July 11. /ARKA/. About 15 resident companies from Russian Skolkovo would like to enter the Armenian market right now, Skolkovo Foundation Deputy Vice President for Regional Development and CIS Cooperation Alexander Okunev said to ARKA news agency.

"In fact, the number of such companies is larger, but we have just selected 15 companies, which have already started some work with Armenia, particularly, in trading with Russia" Okunev said.

They are SaplBiz (a digital platform for communication between manufacturers, suppliers and optical buyers), RED Systems (diagnostic and predictive analytics system), CyberPhisics (a platform for management of production assets), ProgramLab (VR-trainers, productive analytics of equipment), Vezbur (logistics), Glass Tech (technologies for glass production), Radip Bio (production of express tests for various diseases), Tekvel (solutions for electric substations) and others.

In fact, according to Okunev, there are several dozens of companies that have been successfully working in Armenia for a long time in such areas as education, mining and others.

Two key factors

"As for prospects, we at Skolkovo receive 5-10 proposals from our participants every week, who are interested in Armenia," he noted, outlining two main factors that "bring" business school residents to Armenia.

"The first is that the resident companies have grown, have their own product, have established themselves in the sales markets in the Russian Federation, other CIS countries and are now ready to enter Armenia," Okunev noted.

The second factor is the large scientific potential and many promising students available in Armenia. "Of course, companies need personnel here in Armenia. They need people who will study and work here, gaining the necessary competencies," the Skolkovo representative emphasized.

Mutual benefit

According to Okunev, Skolkovo is establishing ties with the Armenian National Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Economy.

"The Academy of Sciences has very interesting products, very promising guys who are ready to enter the Russian market with their products. There is a two-line orientation here - many Russian companies now see the possibility of transferring their technologies to Armenia for the possibility of entering third countries, including friendly ones," he added.

According to him, Armenia is actually a convenient country for entering international markets. "This is a fact. Why is this happening? Because many of our companies already know how to do it and have partners in other countries. Sometimes it is easier for Skolkovo companies to outsource their products and find good partners in Armenia who can help them enter third markets and, on the contrary, become good partners for Armenian companies and promote their products in the countries of their presence," Okunev said. -0-
