ARKA News Agency’s Chief Editor Galina Davidyan was named the winner of the first open creative contest 'Eurasian Integration and Development-XXI Century' of the Eurasian Development Bank in the nomination 'The Best News Reports by News Agencies» for a series of interviews on the inter-regional organization’s activities in Armenia.

MOSCOW, October 30. /ARKA/. ARKA News Agency’s Chief Editor Galina Davidyan was named the winner of the first open creative contest 'Eurasian Integration and Development-XXI Century' of the Eurasian Development Bank in the nomination 'The Best News Reports by News Agencies» for a series of interviews on the inter-regional organization’s activities in Armenia.
Speaking at the award ceremony hosted by Vladimir Molchanov, а prominent Russian TV anchor, Dmitry Pankin, the chairman of the Eurasian Development Bank's Management Board, said integration's success depends heavily on journalists' activities.
'Integration is a skill to negotiate, to listen to each other and to compromise. It is a delicate process that requires unbiased approaches, and the role of mass media is very important here,,’ Pankin said. He wished journalists further success and effective cooperation.
The first open contest for the best mass media coverage of the Eurasian economic integration and sustainable development in the member states was announced by the Eurasian Development Bank in April 2015.
The contest was designed to give a new impetus to the Eurasian integration processes and help develop and strengthen cultural and economic ties between the countries of the region.
The contest is entitled “Eurasian Integration and Development – XXI century”. The aim of the competition is to promote unbiased coverage of the integration processes.
Some 60 journalists from news agencies, newspapers, magazines, Internet resources and TV channels from EDB member states - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan- competed in the contest, and more than 100 materials had been received from these countries by the deadline set for August 31, 2015. --0----
