Armenia aims to establish communication with China and Central Asia through Azerbaijan – Mirzoyan

YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. Armenia is interested in establishing transport and logistics links with Central Asian countries and China using Azerbaijani infrastructure, stated Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

"As a result of unblocking regional communications, we aim to establish links with Central Asia and China through the same Azerbaijani infrastructure. We continue discussions with our partners," Mirzoyan said, responding to questions from members of parliament.

Commenting on statements from the Azerbaijani side, which claim that Armenia is allegedly not fulfilling its obligations to unblock regional communications, Mirzoyan emphasized that "Armenia has not undertaken any obligations, including the unblocking of regional infrastructure, which it has failed to fulfill."

Mirzoyan confirmed that Armenia is ready to open and facilitate the unblocking of regional and transport infrastructure as soon as possible. "We have put forward a deep and comprehensive initiative, 'Crossroads of Peace,' and within its framework, we have made very specific proposals to Azerbaijan," the minister noted.

He also highlighted that this process involves negotiations with Turkey, particularly regarding the launch of the Gyumri-Kars railway.
