YEREVAN, June 4. /ARKA/. At a meeting on Thursday, the Armenian government approved a program to support the export of greenhouse products—tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, and flowers.

Armenian Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan stated that the program's goal is to promote market diversification, reduce dependence on a single source, and strengthen the position of Armenian goods in foreign markets.

"In this context, there is a need to assist economic entities in diversifying markets and developing new supply chains. This measure concerns support for the export of greenhouse-grown fresh fruit and vegetable produce and flowers, under which compensation for the exported volume is established for individual consignments of exported products," Khojoyan noted.

According to him, the compensation will amount to 770 drams per kilogram of strawberries, 275 drams per kilogram of tomatoes, 400 drams per kilogram of peppers, and 37 drams per flower.

The program will be available to legal entities resident in Armenia, individual entrepreneurs, and individuals who exported products from the territory of the Republic of Armenia between June 1 and July 1, 2026.

To receive compensation, exporters must contact the Ministry of Economy and submit product sales declarations or copies of export declarations, as well as payment documents.

Khojoyan noted that the program will diversify export markets and facilitate the normal operations of companies.

According to the Ministry of Economy, more than 4,250 tons of vegetables and strawberries, as well as approximately 10 million flowers, may be exported under the program in June. The program is valid for one month and can be revised if necessary.

Earlier, Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced plans to also offset duties on fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers exported to the EU. He also stated that fruit export subsidies would be introduced later.
