He called the adoption of a joint statement on the responsible development of artificial intelligence within the EAEU an important step.
According to Grigoryan, the document enshrines the general principles of ethics, security, and transparency of technology and focuses cooperation on the real needs of citizens and economies of the union's countries.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that expanding the use of AI requires a responsible and balanced approach.
"It is necessary to create a clear legal framework, ensure the transparency of algorithms, their explainability and auditability, and maintain an appropriate level of human oversight over decisions," he said.
Grigoryan also emphasized the importance of adhering to the principles of digital sovereignty and mutually beneficial international cooperation.
