New French Ambassador to Armenia has arrived in Yerevan

The new French Ambassador to Armenia, Florian Escudier, assumed his duties on Saturday, the French Embassy in Armenia announced.
YEREVAN, September 5. /ARKA/. The new French Ambassador to Armenia, Florian Escudier, assumed his duties on Saturday, the French Embassy in Armenia announced.
"Welcome our new Ambassador, Mr. Florian Escudié, who assumes his duties today," the diplomatic mission posted on Facebook.
Escudier himself shared his first impressions of his stay in Armenia.
"How pleasant it is to be greeted by the beautiful September sun in Armenia! I can't wait to meet Armenian men and women. I am proud that I will soon be able to contribute to the love story between France and Armenia," the diplomat wrote on Facebook.
Escudier was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia by decree of French President Emmanuel Macron on August 18, 2026.
He succeeds Olivier Decottigny, who held this position for three years (since July 2023).
