Armenia’s government intends to arrange production of drip irrigation fittings in the country, tubing and filters in particular, the minister of agriculture Sergo Karapetyan said at the budget discussions in the parliament committees on Friday.

YEREVAN, November 3. /ARKA/. Armenia’s government intends to arrange production of drip irrigation fittings in the country, tubing and filters in particular, the minister of agriculture Sergo Karapetyan said at the budget discussions in the parliament committees on Friday.

Instructed by the premier, the ministry has already started the respective works, supported by the specialized agencies, Karapetyan said.

If the production is arranged, drip irrigation will cost farmers cheaper, which is extremely important for Armenia due to limited water resources, according to the minister.

Yet, the minister has not specified when exactly this production will be launched. –0--
