The ‘’Ajapnyak’’ metro station construction project in Yerevan is valued at nearly $300 million

YEREVAN, April 20. /ARKA/. The current economic value of the investment program for the construction of the new, 11th station of the Yerevan Metro, Ajapnyak, is 107.3 billion drams (approximately $287.4 million), announced Anetta Babayan, Advisor to the Mayor of Yerevan.

According to her, the program's internal economic return is 15.3%.

Babayan stated that the investment program has already received a positive assessment from the Armenian Ministry of Finance.

"The date of the Investment Committee meeting, during which the investment program will be presented for discussion, will be announced soon," she said at a working meeting at City Hall on Monday.

She also reported that the technical specifications for the procurement have been preliminary developed, and a draft government resolution establishing procurement specifications has been circulated to finalize the tender packages.

Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, in turn, stated that the Ajapnyak metro station construction program is a priority for the Mayor's Office and instructed the Mayor to provide detailed information on its progress on a weekly basis.

"This is the Mayor's Office's most important program. This means that detailed information on the metro station's construction process will need to be provided every Monday," Avinyan said.
