YEREVAN, June 14. /ARKA/. The decision to invalidate the results of three polling stations does not affect the election outcome, stated Vahagn Hovakimyan, Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia.

Earlier, the Central Electoral Commission invalidated the results of polling stations No. 35/65, No. 10/51, and No. 12/13. As a result, the Prosperous Armenia Party lost 222 votes and failed to pass the 4% threshold for entry into parliament.

Opposition representatives, who are holding a protest outside the commission building, immediately responded to the CEC's decision.

"Before our very eyes, the Central Election Commission (CEC) has refused to hold a repeat vote. This is a 'rape' of the law. Five opposition mandates are being taken away from our people, mandates that should have belonged to the Prosperous Armenia Party, the opposition, and the people," said Avetik Chalabyan, coordinator of the national-civic union "Hayakve," calling for the fight to continue.

Prosperous Armenia Party spokesperson Iveta Tonoyan claimed the CEC stole voters' votes.

"The CEC is trampling on the rights of more than 3,000 voters. Democracy cannot be treated this way," Tonoyan said, adding that the CEC is guided by the will of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Aram Vardevanyan, number three on the Strong Armenia bloc list, called the commission's decision an unprecedented display of lawlessness.

"We have an action plan. We will appeal to the Constitutional Court," he said.

Vardevanyan also reported that the Strong Armenia and Armenia blocs, as well as the Prosperous Armenia, Bright Armenia, Armenian National Congress, and National Democratic Pole parties, recorded five groups of violations during the parliamentary elections.

"The results recorded under such conditions cannot serve as the basis for the formation of a legitimate government that enjoys the trust of the majority of the people," he stated.

According to Vardevanyan, the current authorities bear full responsibility for the further development of the situation.

"This group did not win the elections," he said, referring to the ruling party.

The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia announced the results of the National Assembly elections on Sunday. According to the statement, the Civil Contract party received 49.745% of the vote, the Strong Armenia bloc 23.271%, and the Armenia bloc 9.923%. The Prosperous Armenia Party received 3.989% of the vote, failing to meet the minimum threshold.

The ruling Civil Contract party will receive 64 seats in the National Assembly. The Strong Armenia bloc will receive 29 seats, and the Armenia bloc will receive 12 seats.
