Armenia must consider the risks of the TRIPP project for Iran: ambassador
YEREVAN, July 8. /ARKA/. Armenia must consider the risks of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project for Iran, stated Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Khalil Shirgolami.

"The agenda of Armenian-Iranian relations within the framework of the TRIPP project should focus on managing the risks posed by this project and addressing potential challenges," Shirgolami noted at a press conference on Wednesday.

According to him, the Armenian government has assured that the implementation of this project will not pose any challenges or threats to Iran, including those related to the US presence.

The ambassador believes it is necessary to develop a mechanism that will allow Armenia to fully realize its potential in unblocking communications.

"At the same time, this mechanism must include managing potential risks associated with the US presence and potential threats to Iran, as well as developing a clear position and appropriate response to such risks," Shirgolami said.
