YEREVAN, November 8. /ARKA/. Armenian government’s budget deficit in 2024 will be bigger than originally projected, Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan said today.
Speaking at a discussion of the budget in parliament Hovhannisyan said the original deficit was estimated to make 3.2% of the planned spending, however, support programs for Nagorno-Karabakh refugees will increase the spending by 144 billion drams, which in turn will raise the projected deficit to 4.6%.
He noted, however, that the change will not have a significant fiscal impact as previously these funds had been allocated by Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh government as a loan. ($1 - 402.66 драма). --0--
