Armenia's average gross wage in January 2021 drops by 3.8% year-on-year

YEREVAN, February 26. /ARKA/. In January 2021, the gross average wage in Armenia was down 3.8% from the same month of 2020 to 183,760 drams, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported. It said when compared to December 2020, the gross average wage was down 19.5%.
The average gross salary in the public sector fell less than in the private sector. In January 2021, compared to January 2020, the average gross wage in the public sector decreased by 0.1% to 160,279 drams. Compared to December 2020, it decreased by 29.1%.
In the private sector, in January 2021, compared to the same period in 2020, the average gross wage decreased by 5.4% to 194,873 drams. At the same time, in January 2021, compared to December 2020, it was down 15%. ($1 - 525.76 drams). -0-
