Armenia’s brandy production jumps 35.3% to over 3 mln liters in first quarter

Total brandy production advanced by 35.3% to 3,965,400 liters in January-March from the same period a year earlier, the National Statistical Service reported ARKA on Tuesday.

YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. Total brandy production advanced by 35.3% to 3,965,400 liters in January-March from the same period a year earlier, the National Statistical Service reported ARKA on Tuesday.
At the same time, wine production also climbed within the reported period by 13% to 991,600 liters.
Vodka and liquor production increased by 72.3% to 1,728,100 liters in the first quarter of this year from a year earlier.
At the same time, the volume of beer produced in the first quarter gained 5.3% to 1,679,800 liters against 1,595,900 compared to the first quarter of the last year.
Champaign production tumbled by 59.3% to 19,700.
Non-alcohol beverage production rose by 31.2% to 4,851,200 liters within the reported period. -0-
