Armenia's economic activity expansion in January-February 2022 amounts to 12%

YEREVAN, March 25. /ARKA/. Armenia's economic activity expansion in January-February 2022 amounted to 12% when compared to the same period of 2021, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) said today.
It said in 2022 February it grew by 9% compared to February 2021 and by 6% compared to January 2022 - 6%.
According to the official data, the industrial output grew by 9.7% to about 365,3 billion drams. The construction sector grew by 4.9% compared to the same period of 2021 to about 32.8 bilion drams.
Domestic trade turnover amounted to about 489.5 billion drams having upped by 8.2%. The services sector (excluding trade) in January-February 2022 amounted to about 316.3 billion drams, 20.1% more than in January-February 2021.
Armenian government’s growth projection for 2022 is 7%, and inflation is set at 4% (± 1.5%). On March 15 the Central Bank revised down its earlier growth projection from 5.3% to 1.6% citing the problems triggered by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. -0-
