YEREVAN, October 19. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan said there is nothing odd in allocating additional funds to Armenian officials’ foreign business trips.
Armenia’s government made a decision on Thursday on redistribution of budget funds to offset additional expenses from business trips of state authorities.
“There is nothing strange in it. We faced the same before too, when the allocated funds were spent earlier and there was a need for additional funds,” Gabrielyan said.
During the Cabinet meeting on Thursday, First Minister of Finance Pavel Safaryan said there was a need to increase Reserve Fund of the government and funds related to business trips expenses by 12.0 and 0.1 billion drams respectively.
These sums will be available due to savings on a number of budget programs.
Expenses for business trips of the state officials are projected to 3.4 billion drams in the budget 2012. ($1- 407.69 drams). -0-
