Armenia's foreign trade in January-April 2023 almost doubled year-on-year to a little over $5.8 billion, according to the numbers, released by the National Statistical Committee (NSC).

YEREVAN, May 25. /ARKA/. Armenia's foreign trade in January-April 2023 almost doubled year-on-year to a little over $5.8 billion, according to the numbers, released by the National Statistical Committee (NSC).

It said in April 2023 alone the foreign trade was down 13.5% when compared to the previous month, but was up 83.5% relative to April 2022. In January-April 2023, calculated in Armenian drams, the foreign trade turnover amounted to over 2 trillion 270 billion.

Armenian exports, compared to the same period of 2022, increased 2.1-fold to over $2.1 billion. In 2023 April, compared to April last year, an increase of 81.3% was registered. In Armenian drams, exports were worth 844.5 billion.

Imports during the reporting period amounted to over $3.6 billion, recording an increase of 93.9% compared to January-April 2022. In April of this year, imports rose 84.7% year-over-year. In dram equivalent, imports totaled over 1.4 trillion. ($1 - 386.40 drams) -0-
