Armenia’s monetary base in late February 2016 decreased by 2.3% from January to about 856.7 billion drams, the National Statistical Service (NSS) said citing the preliminary data of the Central Bank.

YEREVAN, March 31. / ARKA /. Armenia’s monetary base in late February 2016 decreased by 2.3% from January to about 856.7 billion drams, the National Statistical Service (NSS) said citing the preliminary data of the Central Bank.
It also said cash outside the Central Bank at the end of February stood at more than 352 billion drams, down from 363.7 billion drams in late January.
Correspondent accounts in the national currency grew to about 313.2 billion drams from nearly 311.5 billion drams at the end of January, and correspondent accounts in foreign currency fell to the equivalent of 184.113 billion drams, down from 193.2 billion drams at the end of January.
Net international reserves (without privatization funds) in late February stood at more than 458.8 billion drams, having decreased by 5.3% from January.
The amount of net domestic assets during the reporting period amounted to approximately 397.9 billion drams against 392.3 billion drams at the end of January. ($ 1- 481.26 drams). -0-
