Armenian intelligence warns of risks of country's energy dependence
YEREVAN, January 23. /ARKA/. Energy dependence continues to be used as a widespread tool of political influence in both global and regional relations, and Armenia is no exception, according to the annual report of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Armenia.
"Unbalanced energy dependence creates additional risks to sustainable economic development, sovereignty, and social stability, while also increasing the effectiveness of foreign policy pressure exerted on Armenia," the annual report of the Foreign Intelligence Service states.
It is noted that issues related to economic, logistical, technological, and energy security, in the context of regional events, will continue to be directly interconnected with potential military-political developments and the dynamics of relations between regional and extra-regional actors.
