On Wednesday, Armenia's Public Services Regulatory Commission upheld the Settlement Center CJSC's AMD 44.2-million investment program.

YEREVAN, May 6. /ARKA/. On Wednesday, Armenia's Public Services Regulatory Commission upheld the Settlement Center CJSC's AMD 44.2-million investment program. 

Abgar Budaghyan, head of the Public Services Regulatory Commission's licensed activity and investment monitoring division, presenting the issue at the commission's session, said the money will be targeted for financing of two key activities of the center. 

In particular, AMD 23.21 million will be spent on purchasing computers, accessories and software and the remaining AMD 21 million will be invested in organization of the centre's activity and other things. 

The Settlement Center CJSC was established in October 2002 in compliance with the government's order for ensuring transparency to calculations of electric power at the wholesale electric energy market. 

The center's authorized capital amounts to AMD 304.62 million, which constitutes 30462 equities worth AMD 10,000 each. 

In accordance with the charter, the centre is a legal entity, which is a commercial organization with the sole shareholder - the government. 

 The centre started providing services to the electric energy market players on October 1, 2004 in accordance with the agreement signed with the Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC. 

The centre's main activity is to book data on the electric energy generated, supplied, imported, exported and purchased by the distributor, to formalize electric power sale-purchase transactions, to tally and to place on record imminent and actual technological losses of electric power at the wholesale market etc. ($1 – AMD 480.62). ---0-----
