Armenian- U.S. economic cooperation has great potential - Kerobyan
YEREVAN, April 21. /ARKA/. The Armenian- U.S. economic cooperation has great potential, Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan said today.
"Last year our trade turnover exceeded $500mln, but both sides state that it is only a small part of the available potential. There is a great potential for growth in such areas as trade, investments and exchange of technologies. Much of our discussion is focused on the future," he told reporters Friday.
He said that new meetings and business missions are planned in the near future with the aim to establish concrete business cooperation between Armenia and the U.S.
According to the government's 2022 report, Armenia's trade with the U.S. totaled $465 million and was 2.2 times higher than the previous year's level ($207 million).
According to the official statistics, Armenia’s overall foreign trade in 2022 reached $14.1bn, which was 68.8% higher than in 2021. Exports rose 77.7% to $5.4 billion and imports reached $8.8 billion, recording a 63.5% increase. --0--
