Beach season has opened on Sevan, water patrol is on high alert

YEREVAN, July 1. /ARKA/. The beach season started on July 1 on 5 public beaches of Lake Sevan, the Armenian Ministry of Environment reports.
The public beaches, which are free to enter, have a children's playground, changing rooms, sunshades, and showers.
At least one special rubber wheelchair will be available on each beach for people with disabilities, allowing them to move both on the sand and in the water.
The beaches will have a water rescue service, medical stations, and public order control, which will be carried out by the eco-patrol and water patrol services.
The ministry asks people to maintain cleanliness, take care of the environment, and not damage public property.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the water patrol and rescue services are on high alert starting today. They will carry out strict round-the-clock control on Lake Sevan and the coastal zone to quickly respond to incidents and prevent them.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs warns: it is necessary to comply with the rules for the operation of swimming facilities and motorboats, as well as not to swim while intoxicated, showing responsibility towards others.
For violation of public order and safety rules, liability measures are provided that will be applied to all violators without exception.
