YEREVAN, May 22. /ARKA/. A meeting held in the government on Wednesday, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, discussed the progress of the World Trade Center construction project in Yerevan.

A contract for the implementation of the urban development project for the construction of the World Trade Center has already been signed with the Renshin company through public-private partnership. Under the contract signed with Colliers, the latter will undertake the full organization and management of the construction process of the World Trade Center.

Those in-charge reaffirmed that the goal of the project is to create an international high-class business center in the center of Yerevan, which will include modern office space, startup business centers, shopping centers, a hotel, conference halls and exhibition halls. It was noted that the implementation of the project will be an additional stimulus for economic development.

A discussion was held on various components of the program's implementation, and the participants of the meeting presented their observations and suggestions.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the program's implementation and instructed to discuss all possible issues and solutions in detail through working meetings.

Earlier it was reported that the building of the former Main Post Office (22 Saryan Street) will be demolished for the construction of the World Trade Center. The Armenian government approved the corresponding investment project on September 7, 2023, and the construction agreement was signed with “Renshin” company on April 30, 2024.

In 2024, the cost of the project was estimated at $212 million, the total area of buildings and constructions is 123 thousand square meters. 50% of the business center will be owned by investors, 19.82% by the government, and 30.18% by the national postal operator Haypost CJSC.
The Yerevan center will become a part of the World Trade Centers Association network, which is represented in 100 countries.-0-
