Construction volume in Armenia increased by 11.6% in January to 19.2 billion drams

The volume of construction work in Armenia for January 2025 amounted to 19,253.5 million drams (at current prices), reflecting an 11.6% increase compared to January 2024, according to the National Statistical Committee of the country.

YEREVAN, March 10. /ARKA/. The volume of construction work in Armenia for January 2025 amounted to 19,253.5 million drams (at current prices), reflecting an 11.6% increase compared to January 2024, according to the National Statistical Committee of the country.

The volume of construction funded by the state budget for the reporting month totaled 1,728.7 million drams, or 9% of the total volume of construction work (a 15% increase compared to January 2024).

The volume of construction funded by community resources amounted to 445.9 million drams (share: 2.3%, decline: -47.1%), by humanitarian aid to 39.3 million drams (share: 0.2%, decline: -29.6%), by organizations to 11,932.8 million drams (share: 62%, growth: +14.6%), and by the population to 5,106.8 million drams (share: 26.5%, growth: +14.9%).

At the same time, the volume of construction funded by international loans in January amounted to 488.2 million drams (share: 2.5%), reflecting a decline of 47.8% compared to January of the previous year. Of these international loans, the World Bank provided 77.2 million drams, the Asian Development Bank 309.5 million drams, the German Development Bank 31.1 million drams, and other institutions 70.4 million drams.

The largest portion of construction work was carried out in real estate activities (volume: 11,080.7 million drams, share in total: 57.5%), followed by the provision of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning (volume: 2,886.1 million drams, share: 15%), and the manufacturing industry (volume: 702.4 million drams, share: 3.6%).
