A drop in electricity production in the first four months of 2015 has affected Armenia's industry, according to the findings of a study placed on the official website of the ministry of economy.

YEREVAN, May 22, /ARKA/. A drop in electricity production in the first four months of 2015 has affected Armenia's industry, according to the findings of a study placed on the official website of the ministry of economy.
According to preliminary data, electricity production in January-April 2015 has declined by 8% year-on-year. In the first quarter the drop was even higher - 12.6%.
The ministry said although the drop in electricity production has slowed down, it nonetheless, continues to have a restraining effect on the industrial growth.
Armenia's industrial output grew by 4.2% in the first four months of this year when compared to the same time span in 2014. In April alone the figure was 10.6% year-on-year. Electricity production not counted industrial output grew by 10.3% in April, while for the first four months the growth was 7.5%. -
