YEREVAN, March 7. /ARKA/. Criminal police officers have seized about 30 kg of marijuana in Armenia, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Police and the Investigative Committee received information about a large consignment of drugs being prepared for transport from Iran to Armenia.

As a result of extensive operational measures and investigative actions, 30 kg of marijuana were discovered on February 24 and seized.

This prevented an attempt to distribute the drugs in small quantities in Armenia, with an estimated value of 450 million drams.

Efforts are ongoing to identify the individuals involved in drug trafficking. Criminal proceedings are continuing.
