The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has invested 2.5 billion euros in 210 projects in Armenia since the beginning of its operations in the country in 1992, EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso told a press conference ahead of the bank's annual meeting and business forum in Yerevan later this month.

YEREVAN, May 7. /ARKA/. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has invested 2.5 billion euros in 210 projects in Armenia since the beginning of its operations in the country in 1992, EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso told a press conference ahead of the bank's annual meeting and business forum in Yerevan later this month.

"The Bank supports inclusive development and digitalization in the countries where it operates. Investments have been made in different areas: private sector, renewable energy," Renaud-Basso said.

She also emphasized the importance of the bank's events to be held in Yerevan, adding that it will be an important event for the country.

Within the framework of the EBRD Annual Meeting and Business Forum to be held on May 14-16 in Yerevan, the election of the bank's president will be held. The EBRD event titled "Delivering Impact Together" will gather a large number of foreign guests, professionals, major businessmen, high-ranking officials and EBRD management.

It will provide Armenia with a unique opportunity to present its competitive advantages to a select audience of politicians, business representatives and international media. The EBRD is one of the leading institutional investors in Armenia.

The EBRD's main priorities in Armenia include enhancing the competitiveness of companies and supporting financial sector intermediation through risk-sharing products.
