Electricity generation in Armenia increased by 4.9% to 3.3 billion kWh in January-April

YEREVAN, June 6. /ARKA/. In January-April 2025, Armenia generated 3,333.6 million kWh of electricity, which is 4.9% more than in January-April 2024. This is evidenced by data published by the National Statistical Committee of Armenia.
The largest share of generated electricity - 34.7% - falls to the share of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant: the volume of generation is 1,156.7 million kWh, a decline of 7.3%. The share of thermal power plants (generation volume - 994.0 million kWh, a decline of 7.9%) accounts for 29.8%, and the share of hydroelectric power plants (volume - 774.1 million kWh, an increase of 27.8%) - 23.2%. Solar power plants (share - 11.5%) produced 408.5 million kWh of electricity in 4 months (an increase of 67.1%), and wind power plants (share - 0.02%) - 0.3 million kWh (a decline of 52.2%).
Since 2023, the volumes of electricity production also include the volumes of electricity generated by autonomous energy producers in terms of electricity flows. -0-
