YEREVAN, May 20. /ARKA/. It is not profitable to build a garbage recycling plant in Armenia due to insufficient garbage volumes, “Haykakan Zhamanak” (Armenian Time) newspaper says referring to Armenia’s deputy minister of territorial administration and emergencies Vache Terteryan.

The deputy minister said about 300,000 tons of garbage would be needed to ensure efficiency, compared to only 80,000 tons available today Even if the annual growth trend is considered, Armenian will have 100,000 tons of garbage every year in some 10-15 years only, which is not sufficient to make the recycling economically feasible, Terteryan said. –0--
