Inflation in Armenia registered at 1.4% in November, 1.3% for the month

In November 2024, inflation in Armenia was 1.4% compared to November 2023, and 1.3% for the month.

YEREVAN, December 4. /ARKA/. In November 2024, inflation in Armenia was 1.4% compared to November 2023, and 1.3% compared to October 2024, according to the latest numbers, released by the National Statistical Committee (NSC).

According to the NSC, in November 2024, compared to November 2023, prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 1.7%, and by 3.1% compared to the previous month.

Alcohol and tobacco products rose in price by 4.1% in November compared to November 2023 , and by 0.4% compared to October of this year. Prices for clothing and footwear decreased by 2.5% in November 2024 (with a 0.6% increase over the month). 

In the public utilities sector, deflation of 0.5% was registered in November compared to November of the previous year, and zero inflation compared to October 2024. Prices for household goods, appliances, and daily apartment maintenance decreased by 2.7% in November compared to the previous year, while rising by 0.5% compared to October 2024.

In November, prices in the healthcare sector rose by 2.5% compared to the previous year (0.5% compared to October). In the transport sector, prices increased by 5.7% (with a 0.8% decrease over the month). 

The communications sector saw a 0.4% increase (with a 0.1% decrease over the month). Prices in the recreation and culture sector remained unchanged (with a 0.1% decrease over the month). In education, prices rose by 7.8% (with no change over the month). In the restaurant and hotel sectors, prices increased by 1.7% (with a 0.6% decrease over the month). For various goods and services, prices decreased by 1.3% over the year (with a 0.1% increase over the month).

At the same time, according to statistics, prices in the non-food market decreased by 2.1% in November 2024 compared to November 2023, and increased by 0.2% compared to October of this year.

In addition, tariffs for services to the population rose by 3% in November 2024 compared to the previous year, while a 0.1% decline was recorded compared to the previous month.

Armenia's economic growth in the state budget for 2024 is projected to be 7%. The Central Bank of Armenia expects the country's economic growth in 2024 to range from 6.5% to 5.8%.-0-
