YEREVAN, November 27. /ARKA/. Investment flows from Russia to Armenia have increased, which is a sign for other investors as well, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Friday in Sochi during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Despite all the difficulties in 2021, there is an increase in Russian investments in Armenia. This is very important for us, as it is a signal for other investors," Pashinyan said, according to TASS.

For his part, Putin said that Russia is Armenia's leading trade and economic partner and the largest investor in the Armenian economy.

Putin said also that the trade turnover suffered a slight decline last year, but this year it is developing at an accelerated pace. “I hope it will not only reach the pre-pandemic level, but we will also go further," TASS quoted Putin as saying.

"As for our bilateral relations, we have mentioned it many times and I would like to mention it once again: relations between Russia and Armenia are of strategic and allied nature and have deep historical roots. We highly value this and will support the level of our contacts in every way," Putin assured.

On November 26, the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan held talks in Sochi. Following the talks Putin said Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to properly delimit and subsequently demarcate their border. --0--
