Manufacturing production in Armenia in 4 months of 2025 decreased by 23.5% to 535.4 billion drams

The volume of production in the manufacturing industry in January-April 2025 amounted to 535,405.7 million drams, a decrease of 23.5% compared to January-April 2024. This is evidenced by the data published by the National Statistical Committee of Armenia.

YEREVAN, June 6. /ARKA/. The volume of production in the manufacturing industry in January-April 2025 amounted to 535,405.7 million drams, a decrease of 23.5% compared to January-April 2024. This is evidenced by the data published by the National Statistical Committee of Armenia.

At the same time, the volume of industrial output in April amounted to 145,399.4 million drams, a decline of 15.8% compared to April 2024, and 2% compared to March 2025.

The largest share in the overall structure of the industry for the four months of the current year falls on the share of food production - 31.2%. This segment showed a 5.1% growth compared to January-April last year, with production worth 166,937.7 million drams. The top five by share also include tobacco production: share - 17.8%, growth by 57.9%, volume - 95,204.1 million drams; production of basic metals: share - 15%, decline - 77.5%, volume - 64,112.8 million drams; beverage production: share - 10.9%, decline - 14.3%, volume - 58,122.1 million drams; production of other non-metallic mineral products: share - 7.5%, growth - 11.8%, volume 40,385.4 million drams. The share of printing activities, replication of recorded media accounts for 2.7% each (growth by 13.9%, volume - 14,564.4 million drams) and the production of rubber and plastic products is 2.6% (growth by 8.9%, volume - 14,281.3 million drams).

The share of clothing production is 2.1% (decline - 9.6%, volume - 11,428.9 million drams).

The share of electrical equipment production is 1.8% each (growth - 9.5%, volume - 9,658.3 million drams) and the production of paper and paper products is 1.8% (decline by 7.4%, volume - 9,518.9 million drams).

The share of production of finished metal products except for machinery and equipment is 1.5% (decline - 0.2%, volume - 7,898.7 million drams).

1.4% each falls to the share of production of machinery and equipment not included in other groups (growth by 2.5 times, volume - 7,625.3 million drams) and production of chemical industry products (growth by 39.1%, volume - 7,597.9 million drams).

The share of furniture production is 0.9% (a decline of 11.5%, volume - 4,628.1 million drams), production of basic pharmaceutical products and drugs - 0.8% (an increase of 13.9%, volume - 4,408.9 million drams), repair and installation of machinery and equipment - 0.7% (an increase of 44.2%, volume - 3,951.7 million drams), production of computers, electronic and optical products - 0.6% (an increase of 83%, volume - 2,978.6 million drams), production of textile products - 0.3% (an increase of 5.2%, volume - 1,608.3 million drams), production of leather goods - 0.2% (a decrease of 24.3%, volume - 970.3 million drams). 0.1% each falls to wood processing (growth by 4.9%, volume - 805.4 million drams) and production of coke and oil refined products (growth by 88.6%, volume - 738.9 million drams).

The share of production of types of products not included in other groups is 1.5%.
