"The passengers of Yerevan-Tbilisi train, which departed from Yerevan on March 4 at 22:35 and arrived at Gyumri at 2:00 am on March 5, were forced to spend the night in cars. They were provided with everything necessary," the company said in a statement.

At 8:30 am on March 5 the train with 45 had to return to Yerevan. The company said the passengers can return their tickets and get back their full cost or use them after the resumption of regular trains movement between Yerevan-Tbilisi.

The company said it is taking all necessary measures to eliminate the consequences of the snowdrifts, to clear the tracks and restore normal train schedule. The movement of trains at the closed section is expected to resume today evening.
